John Cena, starring ‘The Suicide Squad’ spinoff ‘Peacemaker’ trailer, is out now, and the series will hit the screens next year!
If there is anything we can count on John Cena to do, it is to make a good action-comedy, and that’s precisely what he’s doing in this series.
Other cast members joining Cena in the show include Danielle Brooks as Adebayo, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, Freddie Stroma as Vigilante, Steve Agee as Economos, Robert Patrick as Peacemaker’s father, Auggie Smith, and Chukwudi Iwuji as Murn. The series is made by James Gunn.
PEACEMAKER PLOT
‘Peacemaker’ follows the events of the latest suicide squad movie and shows our star working for Chukwudi Iwuji’s Murn to avoid prison time (again) by killing MORE people.
Atleast this was made clear by the scenes from the trailer showing peacemaker and his best friend vigilante practicing their shooting skills on household appliances and placing them at RISKY places, to say the least!
The trailer is a fantastic combination of comedy and thrill, and we hope so will the series be. Some hilarious scenes from the trailer include our anti-hero grooving to a song in only his white briefs (let’s be honest, we’ve all been there!) and then being attacked by a villain and fighting him in the same condition.
Another scene shows him being given a full wing spanned hug by his sidekick eagle, and asking someone to take a picture to capture the moment.
Looking at the trailer, it feels like peacemaker’s BFF Vigilante might just steal all the spotlight with his quirkiness and overall humorous style!
