STRONG FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS YOU NEED TO FOLLOW

Date:

In the past, women were seldom supported by their families to run a business; however, even in those times, successful Female entrepreneurs existed, and their businesses thrived. Most of their companies have stood the test of time and are still very well-known. This proves that women are more than capable of running a successful business (not that it needs to be proved)

Coming back to the present, There has never been a better time for female entrepreneurs. Women are killing it in the professional space and are becoming more and more powerful. In fact recently Falguni Nayar, CEO and founder of beauty e-commerce chain Nykaa, became the richest self-made female billionaire after the stocks of her company received stellar response. The net worth of Nayar, is a whooping US $7.90 billion (around Rs 58,635 crore)

Female entrepreneurs are a common sight these days, and I couldn’t be happier about it. Be it fashion, business, finance, or anything else. Women are taking over the world right now!

Needless to say, we need the younger generation to continue this legacy and become successful entrepreneurs in the future.

So, today we bring you 7 Female entrepreneurs that are sure to awaken your inner entrepreneur!

1)Estée Lauder-Estée Lauder Companies

We can hardly talk about successful Female entrepreneurs without mentioning the legend, Estée Lauder.

Armed with just a dream and the guts to implement it, Estée lauder changed the face of the cosmetics industry. Estee lauder was innovative, creative, and an excellent marketer. She ran word-of-mouth campaigns all over the country and quite successfully, I might add.

She created a large beauty empire all by herself in those oppressive times. In fact, she was the only woman on Time magazine’s 1998 list of the 20 most influential business geniuses of the 20th century.

She is what we can truly call a self-made woman.

Estee lauder completely destroyed the notion that women can’t run a successful business while caring for their families. She had a beautiful family: a husband(Joseph Lauder) and two sons she loved very much and excellently took care of.

She was an inspiration for women worldwide, and I am sure her story will continue to inspire the coming generation.

2) Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey hardly needs any introduction. She is strong, independent, intelligent, AND successful. She didn’t get this success handed to her on a plate. Oprah Winfrey worked extremely hard for it. All that hard work certainly paid off. She is the first African-American woman to own her own production company.

Since her childhood, Oprah was an excellent speaker. This talent got her a few hosting gigs in college, and finally, her talent was given the recognition it deserved when she got her own daytime show, The Oprah Winfrey show.

After this, her career only reached new heights. Her on-show Book club gained immense popularity ( each book she discussed would end up becoming a best seller).

In 1988 Oprah finally took the plunge and started her own venture with Harpo productions (Harpo is Oprah spelt backwards!) and took over the ownership and production of the Oprah Winfrey show.

Harpo production became very successful and produced some critically acclaimed films.

Oprah Winfrey was and is a force to be reckoned with. She is an entrepreneur, T.V show host, actress, philanthropist, and much more!

She has a very inspiring life story that ignites hope in the hearts of everyone who reads it.

You can read it here.

Sarah Blakely is the founder and owner of Spanx, a brand of body slimming undergarments. One intriguing thing about Sarah Blakely is that she never took the help of anyone else. Meaning, She had no investors, no marketers, no models when she started. Sarah Blakely did no advertisements and marketed her product by personally going into stores and modelling her own products. She built a multi-billion dollar business ALL by herself. Now, that is what I call a self-made billionaire. In 2016 she got the title of the 90th powerful woman.

She really teaches us that women don’t need to be dependent on anyone. We are strong alone, and we don’t need a man to be successful.

Her story is inspiring and will continue to inspire people long from now.

4) Huda Kattan-Huda Beauty

This just proves that perseverance is key to success. Furthermore, having a good role model can also affect your mentality and motivate you to make a difference.

Interestingly Estee lauder was Huda Kattan’s inspiration.

Now, Huda Kattan herself is a role model for many girls and women who aspire to enter the beauty industry!

The woman who has made all this happen is Anne Wojcicki.

She, along with Linda Avey, created this huge company. They believed that people would take care of themselves with the knowledge of potential risk and prevent potential fatalities. They made a straightforward business model so anyone willing to pay could find their ancestral origin and potential genetic disorders from just salivary DNA.

Anne Wojcicki and Linda Avey have changed the standard of genetic tests forever.

These female bosses are a fantastic source of inspiration for anyone who has ever wanted to venture into the health sector.
