After releasing five web series on Disney+ in 2021, Marvel is going to launch another project, Moon Knight.
Most people recognize him as Marvel’s Batman but what actually makes this character more interesting? Let’s read about it.
Origins
Marc Spector, a mercenary who take contracts of assassination, got another contract of archeological dig where he met Marlin, an archeologist. He was with Ron Bushman and other mercenaries and planned to help those archeologists.
They were digging out the statues and later found Moon God’s statue Khonshu, but Bushman was after the treasure instead of statues.
So, he started killing some archeologists, even Marc opposed him but Bushman beats him brutally and left him to die.
Marc somehow managed to reach the Moon God’s statue and then Khonshu appeared in his mind and made a deal that if Marc becomes his Knight, he will save his life. Marc accepted and by this Moon Knight was born.
The personality’s mix!
After becoming a God’s Knight, Marc travelled back to his city where he meets Marlin, who came back safely from the dig and then they fall in love.
So, he builds up his empire with the money he earned by working as a mercenary and retries himself. He even changed his name to Steven Grant to match his genius, billionaire character in the day. However, at night he becomes a vigilante, Moon Knight.
Further, Marc thought that if he stayed in his tower, he won’t get to see what is going on in the public. So, he made another identity, Jake Lockley who stays in the public to establish the contacts between the people because it will be easier to operate those contacts while being Moon Knight.
In total, Marc has 3 identities: Moon Knight Whois a vigilante, Steven who is genius-billionaire and Jake who stays in public.
For some time, he was smoothly operating his identities but then he faces psychotic breakdown which mixed up his 3 different identities into one.
Marc forgot about his real personality too, in terms of medical it is known as dissociative identity disorder and this makes the character more interesting.
More about Moon Knight
He is one of the most badass superheroes in marvel. He doesn’t even mind killing the criminals, has lifted Mjolnir and the reason is, that Mjolnir was made from a different moon which he can control through his mind.
Moon knight sent Deadpool, who has healing power, to the hospital!
This shows how powerful and unique he is!
