I Regret
Not telling the truth,
When it mattered the most,
Cause it would have hurt the most.
But it would have been,
The right thing to do,
Better than breaking a kind heart into two.
I regret
Falling asleep early
When I could have stayed up all night.
I regret
Giving them attention,
When they deserved,
Dismiss from my sight.
I regret
Not being myself,
When I was scared,
I will be judged.
I wish I hadn’t traded myself
For someone else’s expectations.
I wish somebody had held me,
And told me – don’t listen to the world,
Just do what you want
Just do what you love.
I regret
Denying my self-happiness,
When I deserved it
When it mattered the most.
I regret
Living a life full of regrets.
This is gorgeous.
