New York-born actor Joe Gatto is part of Tenderloins, which appeared in 2011. And will leave the successful television program “Impractical Joker” after NINE seasons to focus on fatherhood.
The remaining three stars of the “Impractical Jokers” show, Brian Quinn, James Murray, and Sal Vulcano, shared a heartfelt response to the announcement but committed to keep the show going without Gatto. Joe announced on Instagram that he was quitting the show and separating from his wife, Bessy Gaggar, after seven years of marriage.
They had two children together, a daughter aged 6 and a son aged 4.
His statement said: “I just wanted to let y’all know that I will no longer be involved with Impractical jokers” Alongside my friends, I’ve devoted a decade of my life to building this franchise and couldn’t be prouder of what has been accomplished. However, due to some issues in my personal life, I have to step away,” “Bessy and I have mutually agreed to part ways amicably, so now I must concentrate on being the best father and co-parent to our two amazing children.”
“I know they will continue to make the world laugh,” he added, referring to his relationships with fellow Tenderloin members Murray, Quinn, and Sal as “the most important in my life.”
“And even though the four of us are the ones who you all see; this show is only possible due to the hard work of the talented crew members who work behind the scenes. I am very thankful to have worked with each and every one of them.” The three comedians said they will be filming “a new chapter” of the show this month with “the support of our fans.”
Everyone is unarguably going to miss Joe Gatto. He was always very close to our heart, but of course, we support his decision to leave as ten years is a long time, and he does deserve to take a break and work on his personal life!
